so, when i first heard today’s song, verb noun by the seedy seeds, i got all sorts of happy joys, because it’s so darn adorable. plus! it’s got a banjo done right!
the seedy seeds are a really likeable band who write, in their words, “süperfolkelectroindiepop.” here’s what they have to say about themselves on their facebook page:

The concept for the band was born of a casual conversation in late 2005, in which the founding members hypothesized performing as a group with the instruments they owned but hadn’t yet learned to play. The Seedy Seeds began writing, performing, and recording music shortly thereafter.
verb noun is the single off their upcoming new album of the same name. it sort of reminds me of the cadences found when riding a horse – steady yet exhilarating (okay, truth time here – i hate riding horses, but i am assured by others it is exhilarating). the use of violin and banjo are done just right, and margaret darling’s vocals are pitch perfect to match the fun.
